Financial inclusion continues to advance strongly, driven by the acceleration of payments and electronic transfers, which is reflected in the increasingly massive access to accounts, credits and investments through digital platforms by users who are not banked.

Mercado Pago, the country's leading virtual wallet, belonging to the Argentine electronic commerce giant, Mercado Libre, through a survey observed that around 45% of its users accessed credit for the first time through this digital platform.

The Financial Inclusion Progress Index, prepared by the fintech in conjunction with Americas Market Intelligence, also highlighted significant progress in the use of digital payments, since 70% of users indicated that since they started using the virtual wallet reduced the use of cash.
